    Meet Penny (or Pedro ... :) )

Nice to meet you and Penny. She is a cutie. I'm a fairly new beardie owner myself but I'll be happy to share what I know. I also tried to feed my Baby in a separate container and she wasn't very happy about that. I found that if I feed her in her home that she is much happier to eat...

    1st time beardie owner....meet Baby

Just wanted to post an update on Baby. We have now had her for almost 3 months and she is doing fabulous!!!! She has grown a little over 7 inches and is now just over a foot long. Thanks to everyone on here for sharing their advice - I had no idea what I was doing until I researched on this...

    Hurricane preparedness tips?

We made out pretty good at our house. Honestly, I wasn't afraid of the storm just that the power would go out and that I wouldn't be able to keep my girl warm. Luckily our power only flicked once for a minute and then stayed on the rest of the time. We are one of the lucky ones in Maryland.

    Hurricane preparedness tips?

Some Maryland shelters are accepting pets also. I stopped last night and loaded up on supplies for my girl. My son, my girl and I are going to weather the storm playing games and spending good quality family time. Once the storm passes, we'll spend some time outside in the sun.

Caring for a dragon while working 9-12hrs a day?

I too typically leave my house at 7 AM to go to work and get home between 5:30 & 6 PM. I turn Baby's lights on at 6 AM when I wake up and then feed her about 30 crickets around 6:30 AM. Then we make her salad together at my desk - she plays and climbs on the desk and me while I make the salad...

GUYS HELP NEED AN IDEA OR ADVICE!

I was just getting ready to post something about this same thing. I'm in Maryland and was wondering what to do in the case of a long power outage also. Should I change her diet at all if I find that we don't have power for what could be a while? She's only 2 1/2 months old so she's still...

    Pinworms & Coccidia

Thanks for the heads up on the probiotic - I'll go get some soy yogurt today. She really liked the albon. Looked at me like okay where's some more.

    Pinworms & Coccidia

Unfortunately, I don't have a dish washer. If I boiled some water and then dumped it on there, do you think that would work?

    Pinworms & Coccidia

He didn't tell me the counts - of course I didn't know to ask either. He prescribed Panacur and Albon. My dad is on his way home with the meds so to late to change. If the Albon doesn't work then I will ask for the Ponazuril. As far as a dirty environment it had to come from the pet store...

    Snout rubbing

My baby is the same age and she does the same thing when she's getting ready to shed. Once she starts shedding, she rubs whatever is shedding all over anything she can including me when I'm holding her. Baths seem to really help her with shedding.

    Pinworms & Coccidia

That makes me feel a little better. Thanks for the reply. I would hate to think that me trying to save a few bucks made her sick. I think that I'll do the 6 month fecal sample like you do and stick with the annual visit to the vet unless more are needed. I'm just thankful that the parasites...

    Pinworms & Coccidia

I took my approximately 2 month old beardie, Baby to the vet yesterday for the 1st time. Let me just say that the vet was absolutely Awesome with her. :D Unfortunately, they called me today and the fecal sample that I took in showed positive for pinworms and coccidia. They said it's...
