This is a fun topic! Here’s the names of all the beardies I’ve owned and the ones I currently own, and the origin of their names. (And a pre-warning, 95% of them are based off of comic book characters.)
My first dragon, was named Cisco after Cisco Ramone from the flash, as he was my favorite character. That was when we thought she was a he, but when we discovered Cisco was female, the name kept.
My second ever dragon, was named Thor, after Thor from Marvel. He was a weak little thing so we wanted to give him a nice strong name to grow into. Cisco and Thor were great dragons.
Then we have Daisy, My mom named her, I think she named Daisy after Daisy from the character Quake (the character’s actual name was Daisy so yea) in the show Marvel’s agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And plus it’s just a sweet name.
Then there’s Loki, Pretty simple. He was the 2nd male dragon we got so we named him after Thor’s brother, Loki. And plus this guy already loved to escape a lot, so naming him after the slippery Loki seemed to be a good fit.
Then there’s My boi Rocket, he was a early birthday gift from my mom a bit after Cisco passed. I named him after Rocket raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Then Phoenix, My mom and I named her after Dark Phoenix from the X-men movies, as Phoenix had quite the explosive attitude at first. And plus her pattern looks like fire.
And Finally Mulder, I named him after Fox Mulder from he X-Files as I’d recently finished watching that show when we got him and it’s one of my favorites.
And this year I briefly dragons at one of my church member’s baby dragons for a few months. His name is Eustice but since he was so incredibly smol I called him Tiny for ease, because he was T I N Y.
Figured I might as well also include the names and origins of my other reptiles just for fun.
Gizmo the crested gecko: I actually don’t know why I named her Gizmo, I think I was just fascinated by how cute and dumb she looked, (cresties have the look of their one brain cell is bouncing around in their heads like the windows screensavers). So I just called her this weird little Gizmo thing, So yeah she’s Gizmo.
Ruby my first ball python: My dad and I are huge nerds, my dad does coding so we named her after the coding Language Ruby, as there’s also a coding language called Python... Soo yeah.
Sebastian the Leopard gecko: I named him Sebastian after One of my favorite characters, Sebastian Michaelis from the anime Black Butler.
Wilson the ball python: I named this little dude after Wilson J. Thornton, A.k.a Warf. He’s my favorite dungeons and dragons character to play. The character Wilson is known for his fabulous pink handlebar mustache, and Wilson has some markings on his mouth that looks like a mustache, so that’s how he got the name.
And that’s all my animals, sorry if I over-explained.
