seizure from falling off shoulder

Postby tangyandyoshi » Wed Apr 01, 2020 10:08 am

I feel like such a d***head but i had my beardie on my shoulder and i was walking around the house and suddenly she just jumped off my shoulder and im pretty sure she landed on her back/head and she just froze and starting shaking for about 20 seconds just like if a person had a seizure i picked her up as soon as i saw her on the floor and she kept shaking the same in my hands, mouth half open body completly frozen tail swinging around, her whole body was just shaking now i let her go under my blanket so she could feel safe and reassure that she is fine but i honestly dont know if she really is, anyways as soon as she stopped shaking i put her back in her enclosure to make her feel at home and she started walking a bit and she couldnt really lift her upper body/chest up from the floor so as i said i decided to keep her close to me under my blanket so she could rest she managed to lift her chest up a bit but i honestly dont know if shes okay now, its close to her bedtime so shes tired so i cant tell if shes really okay. Anyways, does anyone have experience with this happening? And what to do if that happens?

I would get her into the vet for xrays to see if anything is broke and especially the head shaking --- here is a website to find a vet in your area

Thanks for the reply, she's moving around fine today I think she was just in shock but I don't know any reptile vets in my country as reptiles aren't very common here and also this covid19 crisis everything is closed and won't be opened until atleast the end of the easter holidays if not even longer. I checked the website you gave me but it doesn't show up with anything in my country as I live in luxembourg (you probably never even heard of it lol) but I'll ask one of my friends who knows someone who works in the veterinary department and see if I can get her xrayed somewhere
