Traveling cross-country with dubia colony

I have to relocate from California to Virginia for work and somehow safely bring my dubia colony along with me. A lot of time and effort has been put into maintaining and breeding them, and I would rather not start over from scratch.

My car is gonna be pretty full with mine and my beardie's stuff so space will be tight. Would it be possible to keep the dubia tank in the trunk while I'm driving as long as I take it out when I stop for the night? Will they suffocate? Obviously their heat source won't be plugged in during the move, but I don't need them to breed en route.

If anyone else has had a similar experience I would appreciate some advice :)

I think they'd be OK on the drive, but I'd make sure not to leave them in a hot car when you make stops. A car could get hot enough to cause them to overheat and die. Otherwise they should be OK in their bin for a few days.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
