That is correct superworms can not be full time staples, lots of people think they can because beardies at around two years of age only need two insect feedings a weak if in correct health, however just because they eat less often for insects doesn't mean they should get treat feeders for a meal.
Here is just a list of staples and treat feeders so you know what you can feed regularly and what you can feed occasionally.
Staple feeders - Crickets, locusts, grasshoppers, silkworms, black soldier fly larvae, dubia roaches, turkish roaches, possibly earthworms.
I'd probably go for silkworms or black soldier fly larvae.
Each feeding a beardie needs around 10-20 bugs, so probably 20 bugs each insect feeding. Either that or as many staple feeder bugs as he wants in 10-15 minutes.
Treat feeders - Waxworms, hornworms, superworms, mealworms, butterworms.
Wax worms - once a week, 4-5 max.
Hornworms - every other day to every two days, 4-6 max.
Mealworms - every other day to every two days, 5-10 max. Only for beardies above 6 months.
Superworms - once or twice a week, 3-4 max. Only for beardies above 12 months.
Butterworms - once or twice a week, 3-4 max.
