Today I took my Beardie to the vet over a potential RI. When looking in his mouth, the vet used the circular finger holds of a pair of metal medical scissors stating that "the tool for this is somewhere but I'm not going to go look." Radish, being the grumpus that he his, didn't like this cold metal thing in his mouth and chomped down pretty hard on it. There was a bit of a cracking noise, and the vet didn't look anymore into it. When I brought him home, he was running his tongue over that side of his mouth a lot and wouldn't let me look at it until I really pried his mouth open. Lo and behold, there's a tooth that was broken and bleeding. It's one of the ones in the middle-back of his mouth. It doesn't seem to be bothering him terribly, but I haven't fed him since the incident. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from getting infected or bothering him? Thanks in advance.
