I would think a burning smell is something to be concerned about. Some types of bulbs won't work correctly with a dimmer switch, but I'm not sure about the one you mentioned. You may also need a better source of UV light for your beardie, such as the Reptisun 10.0 T8 or T5 fluorescent tube. These put out very little heat, but you can use a regular white incandescent bulb alongside them for heat, and the incandescent bulbs will work with a dimmer switch.

Burning smell ===> POWER OFF IMMEDIATELY

Worth asking a sparkie to check your fittings and wiring ....

likely the issue is in the dimmer or the light socket ... might be faulty and definitely dangerous to use . Houses are burnt down when faulty electrics are used.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
