So I rescued "Precious " on May 12th. There was an add on craigslist for 2 bearded dragons for $40. I asked for pictures of them and when I saw them I just new I needed to save them. When I went to pick them up they were in the garage (It was about 56°f) door to garage is open and she says that she just unplugged them. She pointed to Precious and said this is the girl and we just found out she was a girl last week when she laid eggs. I asked her if she had calcium she said I don't know. I was just going to take the male but when she told me this I said I will take them both gave her the money and loaded them in my jeep. It was about a 45 min drive back to my house. I had the heat turned way up.amd drove fast. I got home around 8pm so I just fed her a little veggies and let her bask and gave her my other dragons uvb as she didn't have one. The next morning I cleaned out her cage. Took out the nasty reptile carpet and threw it away. Cleaned and sanitized everything. Put newspaper down and gave her a nice log to climb on. She seems happier now. She weighs 398g. So not to under weight but a little. She is 2 1/2 yrs old. She was having some coordination issues I'm sure was due to calcium deficiency but she is doing better now. Her are some pictures of her before and after. I'm glad I was able to rescue her and because of this forum I know how to take great care of her.
