Hi everyone! I am a new bearded dragon owner. My baby Arcturus is about 4 months old right now I believe. I have been preparing small salads of collard greens, bell peppers, zucchini/or carrots every day in addition to some small superworms. What I'm confused about is that the breeder I got him from said he only feeds him 2 superworms a day and like only once a day. Is that even enough?? I've been feeding him a lot more just because he seems hungry, but I'm just afraid to feed him too much or not enough. He seems like he could eat more than what I give him.
Also, I know that at this young age they need mostly animal protein, but he doesn't seem too extremely fond of his greens. Today he only ate a couple pieces of collards. Is this enough, even at a young age?
So far his poop seems normal as well as his energy levels and basking and sleeping habits.
I'd really appreciate any tips on feeding young beardies such as how much you feed them, how often you feed them, and how much greens/bugs they should eat at a young age. I'd also like to know how your new young beardies were like when you first got them and how they have changed.
Thank you everyone for your responses! I want to make sure I take the very best care of Arcturus so I appreciate all the info.
