Hi everyone! My boy DaVinci turns 3 months old today, have had him for 1 month, and all I have to say is how can anyone who truly spends time watching and interacting with these guys say that they are not 'smart' enough to be capable of affection and bonding? I did the research before buying--he's my first--and understood the limitations science puts on beardies, but having lived with one now for a month, spending hours a day with him, he has demonstrated many acts of bonding and I have no doubt about his 'intelligence.' Yesterday, for example, when I walked by his tank he stared at me with that look in his eye. I offered my hand, started to pet him, then he rubbed his head and beard against my finger a few times (not an itch, he shed last week so I recognize that) and hopped on my hand. After I lifted him up he started pushing his head into my fingers and so I pet him more forcefully, kinda like a dog, holding his head and rubbing his face, mouth, etc...and he just loved every minute of it, staring at me with googly eyes, lol! It's hard to describe, but what I saw was a full-on puppy-beardie...the legends are true!!!
So I'm wondering about your stories...how has your beardie disproved the scientific understanding of them?
