I recently purchased a 1 1/2 year old beardie. He is a male and will eat if hand fed. He will only eat meal worms unless I feed him the veggies. He stays hidden in his shell ALL the time unless I make him come out to eat. I have had him about 2 weeks and I have handled him when I bring him out about every 2 days. Should I be concerned? Or should I do more"? Thanks for your help.

Can you review your tank setup with us, such as the type/brand of UVB light you are using, the temperatures & supplementation you are giving as well. It can help us pinpoint anything that might be off.
I would lay low on the mealworms though, as they are not real nutritious & a bit fattier than other sources. Will he eat crickets or roaches, or any other type of worm like a superworm or silkworm?
Do you have pictures of his tank & setup along with him we could see?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
