How can I get my beardie to eat crickets on neutral ground?

I recently got a baby bearded dragon and I have tried to feed him crickets on "neutral ground" but he refuses to eat them :banghead: . As soon as I put the crickets into his cage he engulfs them. Any tips on how to make him eat the crickets on neutral ground because it is easier for me?

Hi there....just feed him in his tank. Shake the cricks up until dizzy, drop a few at a time until he's done eating. No leftovers, no problem. :)

Mine only eats in his tank also. We figure that he feels safe there which is why he feels comfortable eating there.
