The question has come up several times about arguments, hostility, conflicts, etc. But it is hard to gauge what the larger perception is of users. While conflicts do occur, it's hard to be sure if it seems more or less prominant because of my (as admin) involvement in many that come up, and that it is common that the group that raise their view on it may end up being exclusive of the "middle" group that have no problem one way or the other.
So, I'm hoping an anonymous poll may gather a better sense of what the community feels about the hostility level on the site. When you engage in discussions, do you feel you're met with conflict more often than not? When you're reading the posts, do you feel you come across more conflicts than not? Please be honest in your response, my feelings won't be hurt.
Of course, I acknowledge that the highest number won't get as many people because they're already gone... but at least we might get a better gauge of things.
The scale of voting should be as follows:
1. You never encounter hostility. This is a happier place than Disneyland.
2.
3. There is some hostility, but it's not that significant.
4.
5. Hostility is pretty high here, but I can live with it.
6. Hostility is pretty high here and is starting to get to me.
7.
8. Hostility is very high, and I really think I will be giving up on coming here.
9.
10. Hostility is out of control here. I am not coming back.
Assume the numbers not filled in are somewhere in between the ones on either side.
