Hey everyone. I have been thinking about cutting Midna's nails. When she is on my shoulder she has moments where she wants to climb up the back of my neck and lately it's been a little "scratchy" and does not feel good. I looked at my hand this morning and noticed that I have 3 little scratches from where I had to pick her up and move her (but their nothing compaired to the dog or cat scratches that I have). When she gets bigger I know my nephews are going to want to hold her but I don't want them to get scratched.
Is there a way to cut or trim them that you all know about? Is one way better than another? I was thinking about taking nail clippers and just getting the pointy part at the end because that is all that I'm worried about at the moment. But then I was thinking that I don't want to let their nails get out of hand (lol, out of hand.....ok, sry) and before I know it their nail be super long and maybe hurt them when they walk or climb.
Or do you even trim them at all? There isn't anything in their viv at the moment that really trims their nails so it's possible that they might get long. I was also thinking about getting some fine grain sand paper and put it in a common walk path so they could trim themselves.
What do you think???
