Crickets will bite??

Hey!!
Should I be worried about leaving crickets in my beardie's tank for too long? I've seen that crickets can bite but i don't know how to tell if one has bitten. Also, would a cricket still bite if i had veggies and other food in with the beardies? (my logic is maybe if the crickets have something to snack on they won't bite my dragons but i don't know why they bite) :?

Yes u should be a little worried because they could could cause harm to your reptile it is advised that all crickets are removed from the tank after the reptile has eaten .

if there are any leftover, or ones that were quick enough to hide, leaving some veggies out overnight could help in attracting them. You would still want to search the tank the next day though. Feeding inside their enclosure, as i do, is better accomplished by only introducing one or two bugs at a time, that way they dont hide. I find Fred likes to stalk the bugs also so not just having a pile of them makes it better for him to hunt them when i place them at different areas each time.

My guy enjoys stalking them too, be he LOVES it when I just put his dubia in a dog bowl for him. I guess it's like "shooting fish in a barrel. I have a little, no tip, stainless stell dog bowl that I put the dubia in when feeding. This way, none go to waste by escaping and having to be trown out. Yoda, enthusiastcally ATTACKS the bowl when I put it in his enclosure.

niiiiiiiice.... dog bowls are usually really polished so you probably dont get any that can climb it, good choice. I feed from a small plastic cup that i just hold in my hand and let Fred attack. if any get out without being eaten he will hunt them down easily enough.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
