I ordered hornworms and Zeus didn't eat them all. So I put three aside and they emerged last night. I decided it seemed like too much work to hand feed them and I don't have a big enough enclosure for them to be able to fly. So, I threw them in with Zeus. He ate one and I put the rest into my little butterfly keeper for another snack tomorrow.

Yummm.... He looks like he's really enjoying that big hawk moth.

I do the same with silkworm moths.
He's eaten a few silkworm moths but sometimes he ignores them. But this he gobbled up! We will see about tomorrow.

I only chill the eggs to save surplus eggs to hatch later (outside the season and as I need them).

You can let the eggs stay at room temperature after being laid and they'll typically hatch about 2 - 3 weeks after changing from yellow to grey colour.

I think it depends on various things. These eggs I've had over a month without hatching. The person that sold them to me on eBay said they'd need to be chilled. I need to get some in bottles soon because I have probably 500 of them.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
