Dubia roach heating.

I have a dark Tupperware and I was wondering if it would be safe to use a Zoo Med U.T.H. for it. I know the instructions itself says for glass terrariums only but when I research online I see mixed thoughts on this. Some say it's fine, others say it's not. Now, I already tried it myself over night using a temp gun. It does get pretty hot in one spot but keeps everything else warm.

I'm just not sure if I want to use it in the long run or while I'm gone.

Any suggestions for heating Dubia roaches? It's extremely cold where I'm at now.

I use that mat but have a glass tank. I would be sure to allow ventilation underneath. I have my tank on a wire bakers rack so there is airflow underneath. The bottom stays in the 90s which is too low to melt the plastic barring a malfunction.

I do as well. I do have an extra 20 gallon that I could use but I just don't like that it's not dark enough for them.
