Wild Caught Beardies?

Just wondering what the laws were over there about wild caught, or catching beardies. Can you do something like that? I assume someone did at one time whether it was a Scientist or Conservationist. Random thought that popped into my head.

Absolutely illegal to catch native wildlife except for two states where permits can be issued.

That'a what I thought. Most states here have very strict laws against catching native wildlife as well.
