Slightly concerned for my beardie's ciculation

Postby MAXthebeardie » Sat Feb 22, 2020 9:15 am

Hi everybody! My bearded dragon Max has two mesh basking hammocks up in his enclosure. He absolutely loves them and sleeps on them every night. He has his special spot that he sleeps on every night, which is adorable, but I am concerned about his arm circulation and the long term effects on his arms because the way lays is in the corner with both his arms hanging off. Does anyone have any knowledge they can share with me on this?

Hi there,

Do you have a picture of how he sleeps?

I'm about 100% sure it's just fine :) Beardies tend to sleep in weird positions anyways. Plus, at night with the cooler temps and sleeping, their heartbeat (circulation) slows anyways, so it's not that big of a deal.

I've never heard of a dragon having circulation issues :)

Thanks for the support! I don’t know how to post a picture but he sleeps on the corner with his two front legs hanging off the skinny part

You can upload a picture to the site here:
https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/

Then just copy and paste the XIMG code you get from your picture to your post :)

But, it sounds perfectly normal to me :)

Thanks for showing me how to upload a photo! I’m not very concerned at all I was just trying to make sure it wouldn’t effect his long term health mainly because he does that every single night. Here he is [Click image to enlarge]
