Swollen leg?

Hi all!
my dragon is slowly going through his shed (I think - first time for me!)
His beard was losing flecks of skin and I noticed his right back leg (below the knee) was turning a faded looking colour which I thought meant that his leg was going to shed next, that was a week or two ago and I have noticed in the last day or so that the same leg (where the dull patch is) has swollen up. I'm not sure if it was always swollen and I didn't notice or if it's just happened ? It's a hard lump on his leg, it doesn't seem to bother him and I can wiggle and bend his leg and he doesn't care but I've got no idea what it is... is it a side affect of shedding?

He is 19 months old and this will be his first adult shed (according to my friend who had him before me but didn't care for him properly)

Please help!

They can swell their skin to help loosen sheds, especially on arms and legs. Keep an eye on it but it should subside when the outer skin starts to peel.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
