Hello, I have a bearded dragon named Sodapop and he seems to have some stuck eye crust on his upper eyelid. He first got it earlier this summer when he got dehydrated from mouth rot. Luckily, we got him to the vet in time to cure the rot, but the crusties around his eye haven't left. I've been running warm water over q-tips and then I rub them over the crust after he gets out of his baths, but it has had little to no results. Also, the crust has impacted his vision and makes it harder for him to eat. If anyone has any tips on how to get it off please let me know & thank you!

Hi there, can you post a few pics of his eye ? Here's how :

So how long + what kind of antibiotic was use for the mouth rot, and did the vet see a problem with his eye ? If there's infection in the eye, you might use Teramycin antibiotic eye drops or you can use raw unpasteurized honey, which is also an antimicrobial. I used it on my dragon's eyes in the past + got the infection cleared up in a couple of days. I added a tiny bit of warm water to the honey [ about 1 part honey, 2 parts water ] and applied gently with a Q-tip.

If you DO use the honey, be sure there are no loose insects in the tank that would be attracted to the honey.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
