Black spot on tongue?

Hi! I recently got my beardie, I think he's 6-7 months? It's been there for quite a bit, but he has a tiny black spot on his tongue? I can't get a picture, he doesn't open his mouth long enough for a picture. He's definitely a part of the family now, so hopefully it's not an infection.

Hi there, does it look like the dot is in the middle of the tongue " groove " ? Some beardies have just a tiny area that is darker near the tip in the middle. And are you sure it's not a piece of food ?

It definitely seems like it's in the groove, I think that's what it is. Thanks!
