I’ve been noticing my beardies poop has been quite watery over the last week at first they were all formed normally and generally pretty large. I’ve been keeping track of her weight and length and she’s been putting on a few grams every day. She’s also grown about 1/2 an inch.

However today my girlfriend sent me a picture of her poop as it was still watery but this time not formed well...
I’m going to check her weight again when I get home from work.

Her diet consists of crickets, dubia, and just gave her a treat yesterday of about 5 wax worms.(the breeder said they were safe as a treat) her greens consist of collard greens, dandelion greens and turnip greens( I rotate between two each day) carrots and acorn squash ( just tried yellow squash she wouldn’t touch it). She usually picks through her greens to get to the carrots and acorn squash picking up a few Leafs every other attempt. She’s so picky with her veg?

Here is a pick of her stool from today. Also keep in mind she’s about to go through a huge shed so I haven’t thought her laziness was a concern as she’s probably worn out from shedding every week. Also she usually go nuts for her crickets with one day a week not being as intrigued yet still eating( I’m guessing because of her sheds). Thanks for any help us as newish beardie slaves are kind of concerned ?

Hi there, was this more watery since eating the waxworms ? Any change in diet can cause change in the poo. Waxworms are soft + fatty + might be the culprit but the squash can also do this. The poo is not too far from normal range so I wouldn't worry much. If you are too worried you can always have a fecal test done to check for parasites. But it doesn't look too bad really. :)

Thank you for the quick response:)

It’s been watery almost every time with fluctuations, a few drops(maybe 5 water dropper drops) one time then a decent amount like that the next (sometimes there’s none).
When I got home I found out she pooped in her hide right on her favorite bandanna ( girlfriend didn’t see it I’m guessing it was around the poop time) and it was about the same consistency.

I’m thinking it was the wax worms *fingers crossed* because they’re new and the acorn squash has been a staple for her. However I tried yellow squash this week and she hates it so I haven’t been giving it to her until I can go shopping on my only day off. Being a fed ex driver/contractor during the holiday season gives me very little free time...

Sense she’s been shedding every week in rotation with her belly and her top I usually give her a bath twice a week(this week I slowed down with the bath because she hates them and I read somewhere that might be too much water for her)Thank you for the info, Im really glad that kind of poo is common. I was alarmed because usually her poo is giant and well formed.

I was planning on taking her to an exotic specialist in mid-summer for a yearly fecal/check up. I live in Wisconsin it hasn’t been as cold of a winter but it usually gets well below zero around here. Can’t wait until it’s warm and mid nineties to take her out on our summer hiking adventures :)!

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
