Taking my dragon in Monday for a partial tail amputation. They are going to use a nerve block. Is this common procedure? I'm just nervous about it. I;m ready for it to be done with. I know it's a fairly common procedure for dragons. What can I expect for recovery? Thanks.....

Can you post pics of it ? Beardies generally heal up + do just fine without much stress, even eating soon after.

Hello,

Oh poor dragon, I'm sorry to hear that. She/he will be just fine, as long as it is kept
clean to ward off infection. A nerve block is being used to avoid having to put him under
anesthesia which is ideal.
It will take a month or two, but it should heal up pretty quickly. As suggested, just keep
the stress low for him, too for help with healing.
Definitely post pictures before & after.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
