So just a bit earlier I went upstairs and saw that my bearded dragons terrarium was open and there was a bit of blood on the glass. I think my cat had gotten in and scratched the beardies eye. Now, his eye is shut but not actively bleeding. He’s going to an experienced retile vet tomorrow at 8:00 am but Im going to be worried about him overnight. Since I found him, he has lightened in color so he’s less stressed out and he ate a few small crickets that I gave to him. Im going to give him some greens as well. I was able to clean up around the eye a bit without getting too close to it. It looks like he’s blinking the eye even though it’s shut too. I’m just not sure how resilient bearded dragons are because this is the first time something like this has happened to me.

Hello,

Are there any other injuries on your dragon other than the eye?
Cat bites & scratches can be hazardous & cause infections. I would recommend getting some
raw, unpasteurized honey to put on & around the eye, to help ward off infections.
Poor thing I'm sure he was stressed. Is the area secure to where the cat cannot get near him
again?
Let us know how the vet visit goes.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
