Bearded dragon skin colour

Don't know if anyone posts on here anymore but worth a shot. My bearded dragon when awake has normal dark some scales black tuning down his spine. But when asleep those dark scales have a frosty white colour to them. I'm not sure what this means so please help.

It's quite normal for them to change their color from dark to light depending on a number of things. They may change color when they are hot, cold, happy or mad. Most of the time I've found they darken up when they are trying to attract more heat to themselves or stressed over something. They tend to lighten up when they are warm enough or relaxed
