MY ONE MONTH BEARDIE TODAY IS DOING SOMETHING VERY UNUSUAL....HE LEANS HIS HEAD IN THE RIGHT AND THEN HE MAKES TURNS FROM HIS OWN...AND THEN HE SUDDENLY STAND HIS HEAD UP LIKE LOOKING THE SKY.....I HAVE ALL THE CORRECT TEMPS, BULBS, AS I RED FROM THE CARE SHEETS....HE IS ONLY 3-4 WEEKS OLD AND 4-5 INCHES LONG......WHEN HE WALKS HE MOVING HIS HEAD VERY FAST LEFT--RIGHT---LEFT---RIGHT AND SO ON......WHAT IS IT?

hmm kinda odd i would say a behavior problem i mean i would maybe get him checked for parasites what are your temps ?? if i knew those i could help you better, but ya kinda sounds like a behavior thing is he eating and pooping fine ..if those are good then i dont think you have much to worry about but you might wanna take him to the vet just to make sure

hmm the temps sound fine what substrate is he on??? and is he eating and pooping ,,i would still say you should either take him in for a vet visit or take his fecal in its really your best bet if it is parasites or bacteria you wanna get ahold of them before they take control.. i mean im no vet so i always take max to the vet when im unsure .. then when you eliminate parasites and such you know that hes not sick so ya best bet is if your unsure take him to the vet

is he eating and pooping normal ??? if he is dont worry about it , if not then vet visit of any sort is mandatory i ignored a vet visit and my first beardie demon died,, so now when i dont know i take me new baby max in,,so far its been for little things but thats better than nothing

Sounds like it could be metabolic bone disease (caused by incorrect calcium supplementation and insufficient uv exposure) or possibly a neurological disorder.
Please answer these questions as they will help others to help with this.
What type of UV lighting are you using?
What is the brand and number?
Is it a flourescent strip tube, a coil or a compact bulb?
How are you measuring basking temps? (what type of thermometor?)
What is the substrate in the viv?
How are you supplementing his diet - what type of calcium and vitamins - how often?
WHat town are you located in - someone may be able to help you to locate a vet!
I really would advise that you find a vet asap.

THE BULB IS 30CM FROM HIM AND THE VIV IS 120CM X 80CM X 80CM

it very well could be a nerological disorder.. but deffinatly get rid of the d3 in the calcium he dont need it with your bulb

Ok, first thing, that bulb needs to be a MINIMUM of 45cm away from him! If you cant make that distance then, until you can get that fixed, turn it off and replace it with a regular household heat bulb as right now he is being overloaded with UV and D3.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
