He's extremely welcome in this house though. I'm the "animal guy" at my office. Snake, squirrel or big spider... if I'm there, I'm your guy. Anywho, a coworker approached me and said that his wife had a beardie that she couldn't care for and asked if I wanted him. I told him I would gladly take him and proceeded to set up a 55 gallon tank for him. They had him in a 20 long that was a little cramped I felt. I have absolutely no idea what type he is so if anyone cares to take a guess I would appreciate any info. I have to get a new light fixture that spans the top of the tank as well for his UVB.
He looks pretty healthy so that's a good sign! As far as UVB light goes, I'd get one that runs about half the length of the tank and set it over the basking area so you have a gradient of high UVB there and little to no UVB over the cool side of the tank so he has plenty of choices to move through. This is what I use and it's an excellent bulb. http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/22-t-5-ho-fixture-high-output-with-arcadia-d3-12-ho-bulb/
