Hi. He's a cutie Is that a red basking light? If so you need a white basking light. Those red bulbs are garbage.

We have both we just use the red one at night i know they say that they can see lights like that but he doesn't seem to mind just something to keep m warm. What do you use at night. I want to be the best mom I can be to him.
Its better to use a ceramic heat emmitter. I would switch out the red light with one. Just need to figure out what wattage to use. Or you could buy a large wattage one and use a slide dimmer lamp cord to adjust the output. The dimmers are about $15. I use them with the CHE's on my reptile enclosures, roach bins, and incubators.
