so this morning i became aware that my bearded dragons heat lamp fixture had blown, now i am only a teen so i can’t fix it myself and my parents are divorced, my mum wouldn’t be any good at fixing it, but my dad does that stuff, he has just tested positive for coronavirus so he cannot fix it now. i have 2 fittings in the tank, one is a bayonet cap and the other is a edison screw, the edison has blown, but the bayonet hasn’t, i happen to have a 50w heat lamp that gets the viv to just under 30 degrees celsius would that be okay for now? it will be about another 10days till i can get it fixed. thanks

Hi there,

No worries. Sorry, it has been hard to get a new heat bulb. Try to use any standard incandescent bulb for now. These typically produce enough heat. If you can get the temps back around 100 that would be ideal, but it certainly isn't the end of the world.

Let me know if you can't find a regular bulb, and we will explore other options.

Cheers,

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
