High humidity at night time

This week has been very humid where I live and it’s been really challenging to deal with ? (for both Chicken & my Pac-Man frog Rootbeer? lol) .. Chicken’s 40 gallon breeder is finally fume free so I am going to move him to that today. It’s screen is not as tight so hopefully that coupled with the bigger space will help.

The humidity in the tank during the day is usually 38% but as soon as his lights go out it starts to increase. I have a dehumidifier right next to him & I even put a sock full of rice in there with him. I checked an hour before his lights come on in the morning & it was up to 66%!!! I am terrified of URIs. I know temps can dip at night time, is there any wiggle room with humidity at night? I haven’t had his CHE on at night because it’s up to 78 degrees without it. Not sure what else to try if the move to the bigger tank doesn’t help ?

It might help --- your humidity should not be above 70% so at 66 is ok --- and then dropping during the day is good --- hopefully that 78 at nite will get lower too -- let us know how it goes --

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
