Would this lamp be a good choice for the UV/white light in a BD aquarium. I am new to the hobby so I want to make sure I don't get the wrong equipment. Thank you

That will produce bright white light but it won't provide necessary heat and UVB. It is an OK choice if you want extra visible lighting. This isn't necessary in most enclosures when you are using a T5 UVB light as they are quite bright on their own. This is a good choice for a UVB light http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/22-t-5-ho-fixture-high-output-with-arcadia-d3-12-ho-bulb/

And for a basking light, go with something that is bright but also produces heat. There are reptile specific basking lights out there. I've had good luck using PAR38 and BR40 halogen flood lights from the hardware store.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
