New home for Diablo

So to start off, I would like to thank CooperDragon for suggesting this cage setup to me.
This is our old/current setup. Its 20 gallons tall. We had Repticarpet for it, but we needed to wash it at the time of the picture. She is also in the picture, she is just asleep under the washcloth.
Anyways, the other day, me and my dad started making the terrarium that we will keep Diablo in for the foreseeable future. So far, we have most of it done, but we still need to do some work to get it done. All we need to do is to finish installing the back vents, Install the plexiglass, Wire and install both the Basking Lamp and uvb light fixture, and add handles on the sides so we can easily carry the terrarium.
Once we finish the terrarium, we plan on using this tile as the flooring.
Any suggestions for what we should add to the terrarium or put into it are welcome!
I won't be able to work on it again till saturday after I have dinner with my family (its both Bea's and my birthdays this coming week), so I will post more pictures of it then, especially the finished product!

That's looking really good so far and will be a big improvement! I suggest putting in a variety of levels and areas of shade and hides along with things to climb. Adding variety to provide high light/uvb/heat and low light/uvb/heat is a good idea. Arrange the furniture to make multi purpose climbs and hides where you can. Here is a photo of how I have mine set up at the moment. It's not perfect or the only way to do it but it's one way and it works well enough. Just for some ideas:



For reference, the top of the tank is 18'' up and the black bar where the door closes is 6'' up from the floor. I'd love to have more height but this is a good setup given the high output UVB and limited ceiling. The lights I have are on the lamp stands and sit maybe 20'' or so over the floor. I leave the top on.

Thanks for the suggestions. I want to add stuff to the cage to give her shade, but I am having some trouble finding some decent sized wood or other things for her to climb on. We were even considering making of foam or something like it stuff for her.

It's common for people to make custom hides and platforms out of foam and grout. I'd check the DIY subforum for ideas and tips.

Yeah, I definitely want to do something like that, but I don't think I would be very skilled at doing it, sadly. I might end up doing it eventually, though.

If you aren't finding much outside then you may want to look into ordering online. You can order driftwood but it can get expensive. The habba hut half logs work pretty well as a combo hide/basking spot and I like to include them as part of the setup.

The project took a bit longer than I thought. Finally got all of it done, though!
I'll post the finished product once the caulk is dry and we can get her and her stuff inside.

Yeah, its definitely been working out great so far!
She seems to love it so far. She keeps running all around it just exploring and jumping everywhere.
We got her a cardboard house for her to stand and bask on, as well as made a whole in it for her to sleep in. She goes in the hole all the time, but has so far just slept under the ramp.
We still need to cut the tile flooring and then add it in, as well as making Styrofoam structures and backgrounds for her. Still, it most certainly works for now.
