Hello, (sorry, the 'Are' in the subject line should not be there :/)
I have called Home Improvement centers...cabinet makers, glass shop, furniture builder, door and window shop......etc. to no avail. None of the places I thought *should* have them do not :(

For those who build your own vivs, I am surprised that I can not find the tracks for the glass panels...they should be pretty cheap and easy to find....but it seems that is not the case.

I need them for our 4x2x2 viv.

I would love it if you can tell me where I should look...
Thank you,
Sherri

I had a terrible time finding those and 36" fixtures!

I haven't actually used them yet, so I can't verify how well they work, but I found these on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CSK398. The seller shipped them very quickly. I got them within days of ordering, even with paying for a slower shipping method. I haven't taken them out of the plastic wrap yet, but they feel sturdy.

I know what you mean... The T-8 fixture I finally found at Lowe's...in the kitchen lighting area. Had to go a town over to get it also. At least *they* had it.

Now these tracks are horrible to find!! Thank you for the link I am going to call them to see if they have exactly what I want.

I think I will also go to the *Viv Pics Only* thread (even though I WILL get *yelled* at for asking a question!LOL) and ask there..........as most all of the wood vivs have them...where on earth everyone got them from is what I want to know

I know the trick is to make sure the edges of the glass are rounded so they slide smoothly but gads I can't believe such a simple thing is so difficult to find! uhg.

Thanks again and I hope yours turn out to work great....if so, let me know lol

I built a wooden frame around my glass and then mounted a drawer slide on the wood then the viv. so that the door is removable :D it worked and I found the track at lowes. I got the one that is for the center of the drawer so it was flat and mounted easily. I only put one on the bottom then on the top I have a trim board that goes over the the top of the door so the door slides through it to hold it up. The track was 5 bucks I think so it was cheap.

Have you tried these yet? I ordered them Tuesday but now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the ones Tom listed, lol. Also, anyone know if the width of the top and bottom frame pieces that go on the front can get in the way of the tracks? On the cross fire site, he suggested 3", but a 3" board at the hardwares stores is actually 2.5"... so does he mean an actual 3" board or one that actually measure 2.5" or doesn't it really matter? :banghead:

not yet.

I got mine Ziggy and they are fine, thanks for the link! They are just like 1/8" too wide for my runners, but I can take care of that.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
