as far as I know they are to be fed every couple days, need room temp (mid to upper 70's) moisture obviously being a frog, a shallow water dish because they can drown and that's really it. I bought a cfl 2.0 bulb for uvb as I don't want to dust crickets, and he's large enough hopefully if I skip a feeding he'll take a small goldfish from tweezers for calcium. I have a waterfall kit for him so for right now I've got a handfull of substrate that he came with, his dish, and that's all in a 10 gal so most of the cage is bare, he's hiding in one end of the clump which has been soaked with a sprayer. I've heard you can keep these and pyxies on bare cage or moist reptile carpet too, to avoid eating substrate, which is an issue because they will eat anything they can stuff in their mouths. I will need the substrate for the waterfall, though I could cut out a spot and still use reptile carpet over the moisture balls for the waterfall. He's pretty small and any substrate ingested could be disaster. Once he gets larger, he may take to eating from a separate place, such as a tupperware bin, but being small the transfer may scare him too much and he wont eat, had that issue with the pyxie I had for a short time, he would eat in his cage on eco earth but if I moved him to a bare bin he wouldn't.
Also remember, pacmans gave teeth and will bite you. I tried to get him to nab my finger last night but no luck. My pyxie was always trying to eat my fingers.
So far the 2 crickets I put in there have not been touched. Gotta get a feel for how much he will eat and how often.
