The pics are great! So glad you were able to get away. Bet Z&W were a big hit with the in-laws! What beautiful big blue skies & funny cloud formation-that 1st one looks like some sort of spaceship.

Our crew are getting used to me popping in & out of the house all the time, they're being really good about being in their tanks a good part of the day. As I get better organized I'll be able to let them have their run arounds in the living room at least. They're being very patient with me, which is nice.

Hugs 'n snuggles

That looks like such an awesome adventure and trip ... All the pics are great
Z&W look happy and more happy now that they are going home in the car lol.

Love the pics of the other lizards you saw as well all beauties too.

Welcome back Barb you have been missed by all of us .... Oh I am getting a new baby on Saturday June 11 she is a 2 month old leatherback at the reptile show here in BC Canada so I am so happy, this will be number 3 for beardies.

Wonderful pics along the way there. The cloud formation does look like a spaceship - how odd.
I can't believe the horned lizard allowed you to pick him up, much less place him on your leg. How cool was that!

As always, it's great to see happy Zak and Wheezie during their car ride. At least that's one thing they both agree on all of the time

Glad to have you back.

Who is rolling their eyes and complaining in that pic? ;)
Do you mean that last pic? That would be Wheezie, but that is Wheezie's lazy eye and it looks like that most the time. :)
I think they were happy to get home too. :)

Thanks Lori...we did have a great time. I would love being a desert rat.
When we retire we hope to retire in the desert somewhere. Though I have told Frank I need him to build/create me an oasis....gotta have some kind of trees and greenery. We went rock hunting while we were there looking for semi precious stones...not only did we find lots of nice peices I also found an ancient tool. :D I love artifacts.

Thanks Deb! :)
They were a big hit...odd that they hadn't met before...just shows times are tough and gas is expiencive. It only took a tank of gas to get there and back but it's affording that on top of the cost of weekly gas for errands. Those clouds were awesome...we have pic's while partying in the back yard where the clouds are not lined up yet then that one then more where they are disaligned again. Looked man made.
Hugs and Snuggles not to mention lots and lots of hugs and prayers for Roger. Love you guys!

Zak-n-Wheezie thank-you TASTIGER! :D

Thanks reptilemaster from Z&W! Nice compliment I try... I'm just an amateur with a nice camera that I really don't know how to use.
Out of all the pic's I take I have to get lucky once in awhile.

Thanks Joanne! We did have a great time and really loved cruising the desert...just wish we could have stayed longer... at the same time was glad cuz I missed my other babies.
Congratulations on the new arrival on Saturday. :D PM me the link if you have time...or I might miss the intro. :(
Watch out they really are like "Pringles" you can't have just one...or two...or three...or four...or five...or six...etc.... :laughing6:

Thanks Gina...you're right that is one thing they always agree on...a ride.
The clouds had looked odd to me all day...I had told Frank earlier to look at the odd round like cookie cutter shape clouds...then later to see those clouds stacked like that was strange.

Great to be back all...hope all are well!
Extra hugs and snuggles for Deb, Roger, and crew!

Barb, the pics are awesome! Loved all the ones of the flowers and especially the lizards... ooooooo... awwwwwww!!!! :D
Looks like it was a great trip. The desert can actually be quite peaceful and beautiful, wouldn't you say?
Your in-laws seemed to enjoy having the boys there. And "The Boys"... looking quite comfy as usual on the car ride.
Bet you're glad to be home and settled back into the home life.... NOT!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

On a side note... hehe.. I think I will stop posting for I just hit my 9000th post, but not a sicko yet(like you, lol) :p

Dawn I think the desert is a beautiful an a very peaceful place. Really want to retire there...a desert oasis. :)
While we were out rock hunting at this vein of agate I found a ancient artifact. A tool that was used for skinning meat and gutting what they had hunted. How cool is that? :D

How the heck can one and a half days away from home tire one out so? LOL

Even Zak-n-Wheezie are still pooped...
DSC08444.jpg

This is exactly the way I feel.
DSC08443.jpg

Did you notice they are to tired to even throw out that famous black beard of theirs?
DSC08442.jpg

Since I have PB open an it seems to be cooperating....

My lazy girls...

Roux just laying there making eggies and getting fatter by the day...
DSC08455.jpg

RD...my lil' fat and sassy.
DSC08453.jpg

Ms. Tiggs...lazy girl until she see's the boys.
DSC08449.jpg

Miss Piggy....talk about fat and lazy.
DSC08452.jpg

Itty Bitty...shed her back, part of tail, and fore arms...getting ready to shed the rest anytime.
DSC08447.jpg

And grumpy Lola...changing color so she's got a shed coming up too.
DSC08454.jpg

And my handsome boys....

Gus thinks he needs to eat his salads in my window rather than in his viv. Silly/spoiled boy!
DSC08459.jpg

Close up of that handsome face...How could I tell that face no?
DSC08457.jpg

Pouting Checkers....he's mad at daddy because he didn't get to go on his Saturday drive.
DSC08448.jpg

Shedding Flame...has finally calmed down from the hormonal attack and is now gaining weight again. :D
DSC08451.jpg

Shedding Blazie...This boy is so miserable when in shed and very sensitive.
DSC08446.jpg

However it doesn't affect his appetite. :)

Barb, those pics are great, so are the ones of the desert. Makes me feel right at home. You missed some pics to share with us. You mentioned rock hunting, that is one of our past times. Every time we take our quads out riding we come back with rocks, maybe not agate but rocks for our yard, or saved for the rock wall we are planning in the future. You must plan way ahead of time for a rock wall as it must contain rocks with certain colors. Bill knows what colors to look for. I would love to see pics of your agate. There isn't much of those types of rocks left in this area as there are many rock clubs that go out rock hunting and have cleared out all the good stuff years ago.

WOWEEEEEE!!!!!! Thanks for satisfying my Witte clan pic withdrawals

Funny how Zak and Wheezie are still so tired that they don't even bother to sport their infamous black beard. Poor babies.

I can't believe that's Roux! What happened to her?!?! Did she sneak a side of beef while everyone's sleeping??? How many clutches had she laid so far (I can't keep track of all the egg laying girls)?

RD, Miss Tiggs, and Miss Piggy all looked so relaxed. Had they been going through a lazy period?
Itty Bitty looks great, even in mid shed.
Lola will always be a dainty cutie pie - and I don't believe she's as grumpy as you make her out to be.

Silly Gus! Guess he's one of those who likes to dine with a view
Poor Checkers, pouting over his missed Saturday car ride. Daddy better make it up to him before he takes matters into his own hands (can he reach the car keys?).
Flame had a hormonal attack?!? Towards who? Anybody and everybody?
Glad to see that shedding doesn't affect Blaze's appetite. Pookie had been getting "sensitive" during his sheds too, where he doesn't want me to pet him even at places that isn't shedding.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I'm glad PB was cooperating so you could share all those pics with minimal irritation :)
I enjoyed seeing them all, but LOVED the first picture with Zac and Wheezie in the car and the beautiful blue sky behind them... a fabulous picture :)
It sounds like yall had a great trip!! Hope you are "recovered" from your vacation soon  Funny how that works... more tired after a vacation, but hopefully more relaxed :) Poor Zac-and-Wheezie being so tuckered out that can't even black beard the camera :) Very adorable though :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
