My girl Zelda has been laying eggs for the past couple months. So far she has layed 4 clutches...8 eggs.
Her tail is quite skinny now. She's also lost a bit of her body mass. I have had her for almost a year, and she had grown to have a nice fat tail. Is laying eggs putting such a stress on her body? She poops every day, but it is a bit lighter than ususal. She is housed with a male in a 30 gallon tank. She's still shedding normally. I just watched her go over to her water dish and take a drink. She's hanging out on the warm side...which is 85 degrees right now.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I guess I'm going to do a fecal exam tomorrow. :?
