Hello, I have a 2-3 month old dragon who has been eating mealworms, freeze dried crickets and occasionally veggies. He loves them. I decided to give him some calci worms but they're huge! He chewed one and spit up half of it. He looked like he was gagging. Should I cut the worms? Should I give him something else? Please let me know.

Yes please no more freeze dried crickets and NO more meal worms --- the meal worms are too harsh on their stomachs and freeze dried crickets are not very nutritious plus they get NO hydration out them and they need that hydration -- he should be able to eat those calci worms they are soft its odd that he spit half of it up can you post a pic of the worm and him please -- you can try and cut the worm in half if you haft to https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ click on XIMG at the top of the message box then click on the pic it should post - was he eating them really fast? If so dont give him so many at one time - I would recommend you get him some live insects like dubia roaches or live crickets and or silk worms - the dubias and silk worms are a good staple feeder and way better for him-- you can get dubias and other worms here -- www.dubiaroaches.com - they are easier to keep than crickets they dont die off as quickly-- you can get horn worms order the medium size order small amounts as they grow really fast and they are a good hydrating worm - I would get him some medium super worms in about another month or so --- those can be added to his salads - he needs salads everyday and please rinse the salads before serving so he gets moisture/ hydration -- those freeze dried crickets are going to dry him out -- http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder
you can get silk worms from here www.reptilianarts.com if you order in bulk like 50 make sure you get food too as you will need to feed them and clean containers out everyday -- they are a good staple feeder they do come small in the bulk

the calci worms are a good supplement to the staple feeder --

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
