I've seen posts that says beardies are only supposed to get 5-6 super worms during feeds but why? I just recently started getting them and my beardie has been eating a lot of them. Like 15-25 during feedings. She doesn't really eat her veggies anymore nor crickets so I feed her as much as she wants really. But my main question is, why should they not eat more? Weight gain?

Superworms are higher in fat that let's say crickets and dubia roaches. They also have a hard exoskeleton (made of chitin), which bearded dragons can't digest well. Crickets and dubias also have this exoskeleton, but since they are smaller, it makes it easier for bearded dragons to digest and are less likely to cause impaction. Superworms can come in different sizes, but you shouldn't be feeding them anything larger than the space between their eyes. And again, they are high in fat. Hope this helps!

It's partly health related (they are fine to offer in combination with a varied diet though if they are eating other stuff too). It's partly because they sometimes just go overboard on the supers and wind up throwing them back up which isn't good.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
