Mealworms and crickets.

I purchased my tank as one of those starter kits (I hardly used anything that came in it, pretty much just the tank and water bowl). One of the items it came with was canned mealworms. Would it be bad to try and feed the canned mealworms to my crickets? Would that still cause impaction to my bearded dragon, and would it make the crickets any healthier?

Hi. Yes canned can definitely cause impaction. Canned are not good at all to feed.

so it can still cause impaction if the mealworms being fed to the crickets and then the crickets are being fed to my beardie?

He misunderstood what you said, however it’s not exactly the best gutloader for crickets. Go with collard greens, carrots, potatoes, kale, or mustard greens, things like that are better for them when gutloading/feeding.
