I know that variety is important for a healthy Bearded Dragon. For example, I feed my adult Beardies a mixture of dubia roaches, crickets, superworms, turnip greens, collard greens, kale, shredded carrots, etc. And sometimes hornworms and pinky mice.

Although, is it possible to have a healthy Bearded Dragon by providing it a variety of greens only? No insects.

Hi. They still need some protein. Adults need 80% salad and 20% protein. So you can probably do protein 3 to 4 days a week. Also pinkies should not be fed to beardies they can get impacted from the small bones. Remember their digestion is different then snakes. Also sometimes pinkies carry salmonella.

I rarely feed pinkie mice; but when I do, it's probably for my adult female Bearded Dragon who needs the energy boost and to fatten up after laying some fertile eggs.

Anyways, I was just wondering because I am short on money atm. So I was hoping that I could try some sort of greens only diet considering that Bearded Dragons are omnivores.

They are not soley omnivores. They do need protein 80% salad and 20% protein. You don't need to feed protein every day 3 to 4x a week is enough for adults. Babies turn the diet around.

You can offer a little scrambled egg once or twice a week. Just scramble one egg + pop it in the microwave with no oil for a minute. Offer a couple of quarter sized pieces. Babies will eat egg as well, but not as eagerly as most adults. Drop small pieces in near the babies + they usually pounce .

Ooo they can eat eggs for protein?! I'm going to offer some to my baby right now and see if he likes it, because I haven't been able to go to the pet store to get him some bugs :blob5:

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
