Stress marks

Hi, I was wondering what I can do about my baby beardies stress marks?
I’ve had him just over a month, he is about 2-3 months old. He eats greens and as many crickets as he can eat. We don’t leave any in his viv when he’s not eating. I got him from a reptile specialist: and he set the heat for us. I believe it sits at 88F. He has places to hide and things to climb on. A few days ago he was white for about 2-3 days and that has now changed again.
When I take him out to cuddle or play, he doesn’t sit still for long ( I understand he is a baby still )
But I just don’t know what to do. Thank you.

Basking temps for a baby should not be 88 degrees- how are you taking them? NO stick ons--- they are inaccurate- you need a digital probe to get an actual temp--- you need basking temps of 105-110 for a baby ---- what are you using for a UVB? NO coils please --- I am surprised hes eating w/ basking temps that low --- you need a hot warm and cool side of tank for him - cool side should be in the 80's during the day at nite not below 65 ---

What is a coil sorry? And where can I get a different thermometer ( in the UK )
I’m not sure what all the things are called, the reptile specialist built the vivarium for me and set the temps, the light up, and everything else.
Thank you. I’m new to this stuff

Also, he has been white but he fluctuates colour throughout the day. Some day’s he’s darker than others. I am not sure if I am reading the temps correctly. I’m going to see the reptile specialist ASAP. As, I’m sure I have it all correct. As he did it for me.

Digital thermometer looks like this https://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/PetSmart/5176729 you need two of them one for your cool side of tank and one for your basking area-
a coil looks like this and it would be a UVB https://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/PetSmart/5176816 or like this https://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/PetSmart/5195503 these are no good and do not produce adequate UVB you need a tube fixture like this https://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/PetSmart/5142800 w/ a tube bulb https://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/PetSmart/5123303 please post a pic of your tank and lighting and your little guy https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ click on XIMG at the top of the message box then click on the pic it should post

If he set that tank up and set basking temps to be 88 degrees he does not know what hes doing -- please go over your set up so we can get this corrected

Ok that is a heat emitter they are no good for basking -- you need a bright white basking bulb that keeps temps 105-110 -- he will not survive w/ out a basking bulb - he will not be able to properly digest his food - the UVB I need to know what brand and bulb and I cant see a reflector on it -- hoods have reflectors in them to reflect the UVB rays toward them -- w/ out it it needs to be directly overhead and approx 4-6 inches from them other wise its not doing its job and hes not benefiting from it

Hi again
Can I take out the black heat emitter and put in the basking bulb In same fitting? I don’t want to be fiddling with it and break it then he will have no heat source.

I dont know ---- look on the socket and sees what it says about wattage - you need a digital probe thermometer before you do that -- I sent pic of what they look like - get one when you get a bright white basking bulb - but you need the wattage of what the socket will take or look on the heat emitter bulb it will tell you wattage- it will say on it I am guessing you need to look and you need a reflector on that UVB -- the bulb will tell you what it is the brand and the wattage or it might say T 5 or T 8 I dont know --- you haft to look and we may haft to enlist in some help here w/ getting that set up correctly - I can only help you w/ what I know
