Do you guys think that maybe some sand as a substrate will help reduce humidity in a tank? I have a 40 gallon for my beardie and it stays around 100 degrees in her basking spot, 85 ish in the cool area but the humidity is an issue cause it fluctuates between 38 to about 44 all the time I'm trying to keep it under 40.

That is not a concern humidity can go as high as 70 before you need to be concerned --- what would be a concern is sand because it causes impaction -- my tank stays between 35-50 % --- I live in a high humid state in the summer --- winter its very dry--if you need to buy a dehumidifier

I'd say the humidity is great, I wouldn't worry about it.

but just Don't use sand. Like at all in the least. It does more harm than good.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
