so I was on Craigslist to see any hamsters that CLEARLY needs to be rehomed (found many) and I also checked out the beardie side because I wanted to see how informed people REALLY are.
Most of the posts were great, but there were a few that made me think... "Do these people KNOW what a lizard is?"
One of them had FOUR females in the same tank.. In a 20GALLON and said they all get along great.. One had a missing leg and another had several wounds.
Another only had the guy for a week and said "we got a ferret so we can't take care of her anymore". I emailed them some things like "oh, you should.. Uh.. Probably leave the lights longer and put her weight + size in the description"
Never heard from them.
Worst ones:
1)
-said that the beardie was too "dangerous" and even said that they never play with them
-gives them rotten kale (I could see the kale rotting CLEARLY in the pic)
-red bulb. Do I need to say more?
-sand, sand, sand. And it was a baby. (Lister said she/he was 2weeks.)
-claims they know everything about beardies (unless you study lizards/bearded dragons, you can not know "everything". I don't know the anatomy but I DO KNOW that a lizard shouldn't be showing their hips

-EXTREMELY emaciated beardie.
-my friend has offered to rescue the beardie, but told them some things about husbandry first, yet they argued and said "I know everything! How dare you ACT like I'm stupid enough to not know that! Those are lies!"
-let their cats LITERALLY play with them. They posted a vid of it and said "so funny" as the cat TRIED to maul the poor guy
