Well I bought my dragon almost a month ago he's between 3 and 5 months and the breeder probably never gave veggies I tried a variety of things from mustard greens, collard greens carrots, apples strawberries, blue berries red and yellow red peppers and tomatoes on a white napkin and with super worms and nothing hopefully when he gets older my beardy will grow a taste for them also I recently switched to dubias and he eats more often than he did crickets so it was a good switch for the both of us as I don't have to hand feed Dundas other then that he is growing and with a fat belly

My beardie didn't start eating her salad until she was about 6 months old and had pumpkin for the first time. Just keep putting salad in his viv every day and hopefully he'll start to pick at it. Have you tried butternut squash? Most beardies love that. But I wouldn't worry about him not eating salad at that age.

Haha, don't worry. It is rare to find a beardie who will eat greens at such a young age! Most won't start eating ANY until 6+ months, and will hopefully be somewhat accustomed by a year or more. Good luck!

Keep offering , but don't stress if the hatchling/juvenile dragon ignores the greens and veg at this stage , it knows what it needs .

Just offer the salad fresh each day, and give the uneaten salad to the crickets / roaches / locusts at the end of the day. This will gut load/ feed the feeder insects, and he dragon will simply get the greens and veg in disguise when it eats the bugs.

NO SUPERWORMS for a dragon younger than 12 months old , and never as a staple feeder insect , only ever as a treat and never more than 2 or 3 in a sitting.
Issue is underdeveloped GIT & hard exoskeletons ==> impaction risk , and poor nutritional content.

Better off giving silkworms , which are a perfect feeder insect and grow quite large , even a little guy like yours will handle a medium sized silkworm up to 2 inches long (they are very soft and squishy).

I feed them more then super worms he eats lot of Dubias as well
He shouldnt really be having supers at all thpugh at that age. Except very small ones but thats only if hes on the very high end of your estimate. Most people will say no supers until your dragon is a foot and a half long.

Try putting a hornworm on top of his salad. They have such clingy feet he will end up getting some greens with it.

That is absolutely hilarious. ROFLMAO

vengeance is mine when the horn worms attack my tomatoes this year. I've got a surprise for them!

my beardie is about 1 1/2 years old and she won't eat greens or veggies either. I've gotten to the point Im counting pieces I put in every day to see if she has eat any while i've been gone to work. I choose different colors and I've bought everything walmart has that is a vegetative form. lol

I guess she is still growing and needs the protein. I guessing she will start leaning toward it in time. perhaps a few more months of good care will do the trick. It's good for my diet to eat lizard food any way. LOL. Kiwi and mango for breakfast who would have thought.

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT feed hornworms youve pulled off your tomato plants to a beardie!!
Hornworms that have been feeding on tomato leaves are deadly poisonous!!
Tomato leaves contain trace amounts of solanine, it is the hornworm's natural defense mechanism to store the solanine in its body so that predators will not eat it. Only captive bred hornworms that have been raised on nontoxic hornworm chow can be used as feeders.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
