I got my beardie Gizmo 3 weeks and 5 days ago. He has stress marks and a little bit of a black beard. I don't know if it's normal for him to have them this long, his terrarium is 20 gallons, his basking temp averages at 110, his cool side is around 80 exactly. If anybody can give me any information at all it would be much appreciated.

A black beard is not good. How do you take your temps? Can you post some pictures of your Dragon and his set up. How old is your Dragon? What kind of uvb are you using.

He is around 3 months I would say, his beard isn't fully black. I think it's just a continuation of his stress marks and it just seems black in certain light. I will take pictures of his setup and him when I get home. I measure his temps with a stick on thermometer inside of his tank. Is there a better way to measure temps that is more accurate?

Those stick on thermometer can be off by 20°. The best is an infered gun or a thermometer with a probe on it that you place directly on the basking spot.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
