Had to stop posting yesterday because I got a message from website that it was unavailable. Before I continue I wanted to share a funny story! Today I had Samson out and I had him on the computer chair. I was sitting on the floor watching him. All of a sudden he got on his back legs and started to do his poopy wiggle. I quickly took him off the chair and placed him on a paper towel on the floor. Right before he went to the bathroom he passed gas....really loud :shock: . My kids were laughing hysterically! I had heard that they farted but we have had him for over 3 months and we had never heard him do that. My kids really got a kick out this! Also, if I hadn't had my hand under his belly because I had just out him down I would have blamed one of the kids because it sounded like one of theirs....super loud and nasty!!!

I am not really sure how old he is! We got him from Petco on December 26, 2009. Being new to this whole beardie thing I never even thought to ask and Petco never offered me any info. I didn't even to think to measure him until 2 1/2 weeks after we got him. According to his measurement I would have to say he is now 5-6months???

It all depends on the growth rate of each individual I think, he does look about that in the photos (I'm no expert though ). Funny about him farting, I know pepper does it a lot in the bath but it's only every so often you hear it :shock:

I can't believe that next week it will be 4 months since we brought Samson home! Lately he has been growing like crazy. I just measured him a few days ago and he is 14 1/2 inches I have not put him on the scale but when I carry him he does feel heavier!

Today I took Samson with me to drop off the kids at school! He had a blast! He was looking out the window the whole time. I drop off my kids through the driveway at school...I don't actually get out of the car. I couldn't take any pictures because he was on my chest and when I tried he was way too close. I will have the kids take one next time! It seemed like he had a great time. He was very curious and looked at everything. Kids had a blast too! They thought it was super cool that their lizard took them to school...kids! We are going to do this more often. We have to do it with guinea pigs too so I guess the pets will be taking turns. This is really a nut house I guess it's ok as long as it's not the lizard and 2 guinea pigs at the same time. That would really be crazy!!!

I was just looking throught my pictures and I found this one of Samson freaking out at the sight of our guinea pig. My kids like to torture Samson with the piggy because they say he looks funny when he's mad! Just another reminder of my crazy household! Will Samson ever not freak out at the sight of a guinea pig? The picture was taken 4/3/10

Yesterday was a first for me with Samson! I took him with me to go pick up the kids at school. It was a very interesting experience. For the most part it was a positive experience! I had a few parents that were grossed out by him or terrified of him! I don't understand either of those two emotions when it comes to bearded dragons but I guess everyone has their thing (mine is frogs and roaches)! :lol: The kids were very intrigued by Samson. I got a lot of questions about him. My kids are 8 and 10 years old so that is the age group I was talking to. I forget that most kids are not like mine and they are not really informed about different animals. I guess they are now a little more informed! So after that experience at school we went to a party and they had a wildlife show. The first animals they took out were the reptiles and of course they had a beardie. My 10 year old daughter told me after the party that the poor beardie was black and had stress marks and they guy was flopping it around too much. I mentioned during the show that the poor thing was stressed out and the guy giving the show gave me the evil eye! But seriously the thing was dark and full of stress marks and my daughter was really unhappy about that! I also caught my kids trying to explain about beardies when the guy was trying to talk...in other word I think they felt like they could give the wildlife show better than the guy could. It was funny to watch! I could see that most of the kids watching that show didn't even know what half the animals were much less seen one! I find that really sad :x

My husband has started building Samson's new viv! He is making two vivs because we would like to get another dragon in the near future. My daughter has started saving her money to get another one! So far he has the frame up. I will post pics of the progress The kids are really excited and were outside today with him trying to help him out. Unfortunatly, it is going to take a while because my husband can only work on it on the weekends if the kids don't have any activities. It's really difficult because the kids always have something!

Well I am starting a new project! I am breeding silkworms now. I really hate crickets so I decided to start trying to breed silkworms for Samson. I got my shippment today so lets see how it goes

Samson has also grown 1/2 an inch since I last wrote. I have not been able to get his weight because I just bought a new scale online and I am waiting for it to arrive. The stupid thing is taking forever to get here.

Hubby is still building the viv for Samson. Mother's Day kind of slowed him down. He was only able to work on the viv one day last weekend. I can't wait until it's done.

So many things going on right now! Between the things for Samson and the things for the guinea pigs this house seem like a nu house more and more each day. I had to make a bigger pen for the guinea pigs also because my daughter got a companion for her first guinea pig and now the original one is pregnant My playroom has turned into a zoo and a continous science project. This summer is going to be interesting!! My older daughter is also saving her money to get a companion for her lizard so we will be adding another beardie here soon too. These kids are going to be the death of me.

Hopefully I can get some pics of the viv my husband is making on here soon. I have them I just haven't uploaded them onto photobucket. Let me see if I can get it done now
