Thanks to TheFlyingLime and her room mate for the idea! after they tolld me it was possible to crochet a lizard leash i gave it a try. i'd only seen the leash from far away and it was made out of regular 4 ww yarn. it was so cute i had to give it a try. I worked on it all night and this morning did some last minuet work by sewing the old leash's workings to this new one. I made it in the same rainbow thread i had for my hat (since he love the hat so much). Now i can take him to our new friend's house to see the other dragons without worry! Thanks you guys

There was no fuss when i put on the leash. i even took him out that day and he didn't turn black at all. i'm thinking about writing a pattern for different sizes so i can sell the leashes.

I would like the pattern. I just worry about how long they will last. I've crocheted before and I could do it again but I don't think the yarn that is available here is that weight. I'd have to research on line to find anything stronger. We used to put a string of red yarn on our girls' leashes and have to replace it quite often.

look up crochet thread. i used two strands held together. size 3 (i use this for woman's clothing and bikinis all the time) and size 10 thread (used for doilies usually). when together it's surprisingly strong and the fibers are very hard to break by a person, let alone a lizard. I have a dress order to finish for now. But i will work on some leashes maybe next week and even come up with a pattern or tutorial. :blob8:

THAT IS DARLING!!!! :D France freaked out when I tried the shoelace leash on her, but that looks so much comfier, I bet I could get her used to it. Seriously one of the most precious things I've ever seen!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
