When do I cut the feedings to one a day?

Okay, I have a question. My Nim is currently 8 months old, I've had him for 7. He's always been eating two medium sized meals twice a day. I'm just curious at when to cut it down to one feeding a day. Like, at what age should he get one large feeding a day?

Just curious. Thanks in advance to any kind replies.

Oh, and Nim is 17 inches now, should I start to give him supers?

They usually let you know when one feeding a day is enough by eating a lot at one feeding and then none or hardly any thing at the other feeding. Is Nim showing that now? If not, he should very soon.

Yes, you can start to feed supers now. Would be a good idea to feed a few then wait a day or so before feeding more to make sure his is digesting them ok. If you see quite a few pieces of supers in his poop, wait another wk or so before trying again.

Hello, sorry it took me so long to respond. The holidays were very busy for me. Well, Nim isn't ignoring a feeding yet. I don't think he ever will, he's CRAZY about food. Makes you think I starve him, LOL. Thanks for the advice, I will let Nim chose when to cut down.

I haven't tried supers yet. I mean, how crucial are they to a adult beardie's diet? I know a lot of beardie owners give their dragons supers, but is it really needed? I have just started a dubia colony for Nim, he can have dubias as his protein when he's an adult instead of supers, right? I was just wanting to try a new bug really, Nim needs more variety and supers are one of those bugs I can get from a pet store.
