What to cover the sides with

We have little Red in a 40 gallon breeder. He has started scratching at the glass a lot lately. So I taught we could cover 3 sides but with what? If I made curtains would that help with the reflection or will that not be good enough?? Any ideas.... Pics would be great

I just simply have plain white paper taped inside the enclosure. My little boy does the same thing, he'll go nuts unless it's covered. You could always get creative and add different color paper, I just like that the white seems to brighten it up a bit.
